SkyJump Las Vegas

In the city of Las Vegas, there is a wide range of amusements for adults and children alike, though the city is much better known for its adult amusements. Among these amusements are world famous boxing matches, MMA competitions, some of the best comedians and musicians in the entertainment industry today and of course the world famous (and somewhat infamous) casino industry. The city also plays host to a number of quirky museums focused on everything from the history of atomic testing in the United States to the history of the American Mafia. Some people even find amusement in simply roaming the neon strip savoring the food and drink that is among the highest class on Earth that is easily affordable by most tourists who can make the trip.

For those looking for a true thrill, however, Las Vegas can seem somewhat underwhelming.

What Is Skyjump Las Vegas?

If you’ve never heard of Skyjump Las Vegas, you’re in for a real treat. It’s the only sky jump in the entire continent of North America, so you’re not going to find anything like it anywhere else. That alone makes it worth the price of admission for some people.

However, we understand if you’re not entirely convinced just because there’s only one place you can do it. So what if we pointed out that it’s a 108 story drop? A 108 story drop that’s verticle?

The sky jump is located on the 108th floor of the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. It’s an amazing hotel, but more importantly, the 108th floor is a good 855 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. It’s not quite a chance to join the Mile High Club, but it’s not exactly a short drop, either.

At The Intersection Of Safety And Thrills

There team work tirelessly to check and then double check all the safety equipment. they ensure that any jumper is properly strapped into the harness and that the cables don’t show any sign of wear and tear. At the slightest hint of a frayed cable, we replace it and ensure that we get a brand new one. Sadly, this does mean that heavier guests won’t be able to enjoy the leap. Our harnesses top out at 265 pounds, and that’s a hard limit. Otherwise, we can’t be certain the harness will hold properly.

In addition, there are some other safety steps we have to follow. Extreme weather conditions can shut down the jump. Sure, you could jump in heavy rain, lighten storms, or in winds faster than 44mph, but you can’t do it while using our equipment! On the plus side, extreme weather will very rarely come up. It’s the Las Vegas Strip, after all. It’s rarely anything but hot and sunny in the great state of Nevada!

What’s The Cost?

Of course, it sounds great. But the age old question is “what’s it going to cost?” It’s a fair question, especially in Las Vegas where you can’t breathe too deeply without someone trying to charge you for excess air use.

Luckily, they strive to keep prices reasonable. As such, it’s only $119.95 in order to suit up, strap in, and go flying. In addition, we allow the purchase of re-jumps so that you can jump later in the day, or allow you to stay suited up and jump a second time, for the low cost of $59.95. And lastly, if you’re local you can get in for only $99.99.

Great Vacation, Great Fun!

Whether you’re on vacation with friends or family, one thing is certain. Not everyone in your group will be brave enough to jump! Luckily for you, we’ve got a bar nearby. We wouldn’t expect anyone to take a 108 story leap without a bit of liquid courage!

And of course, it’s on the Las Vegas Strip. If your friends or family can’t find some place on the Strip to spend their time and their money, then maybe going to Las Vegas wasn’t the best idea for them. Still, we always offer a variety of different things to do at the Stratosphere, and there’s always uploading pictures of the jumper to Facebook!

So if you’re looking for an amazing event to top off an amazing vacation, come to SkyJump Las Vegas. We’re open from 10 am to 1 am Sundays through Thursdays, and 10 am to 2 am Friday and Saturday. You’ll be able to experience a rush like never before, and like literally nowhere else in the United States!
